Natalie and Ian's wedding at The Hop Farm

When we first met Natalie, she wasn't sure about her flowers at all.  She knew her colour scheme was going to be a striking burnt orange, and her favourite flowers were lilies...other than that she hadn't been inspired at all and was feeling a little disillusioned.  However, we were honoured to see Natalie get completely overwhelmed when she saw one particular bouquet in our portfolios and we built her flower scheme from there.

For Natalie's bouquet we used burnt orange lilies, Mango Calla lilies, High and Magic roses, trachellium, orange germini, chincherinchee and plenty of foliage.  It looked so striking and textured, and yet was symmetrical which was important for Natalie.  As the flowers were so striking, we finished the stems really simply with ivory ribbon and a bow, with a single crystal pin...we didn't want to compete with the absolutely stunning hairpiece Natalie had chosen, which was so beautiful and sparkly.

For her bridesmaid, we reversed the colour scheme and provided a smaller textured bouquet mainly in ivory with touches of burnt orange and finished the same way as Natalie's bouquet.

The buttonholes were all Mango Calla Lilies, with Ian's having a High and Magic rose added at the front.  Corsages were kept ivory but with ribbon added to tone with individual outfits.

Thanks to the horrendous weather we've been having, Natalie and Ian couldn't get married outside, but I think you'll agree that the chairs, bows and the lilies we added down the aisle made it lovely inside for the wedding.  We also added fishbowls with grasses and Princess Irene tulips twisted around inside.

For the top table, we added a fishbowl at either end with tulips and grasses and then added a few roses around the Mr and Mrs sign Natalie and Ian had provided.  We sprinkled rose petals along the cloth and added calla lilies to each of the place settings to finish the colour scheme.

For the guest tables, Natalie had provided hurricane lamps and mirrors and we added tulips and grasses to match the top table along with rose petals on the tables.  It all looked lovely and bright and very contemporary.

We hope Natalie and Ian had a lovely day despite the weather...I suspect Natalie's sunny personality and her gorgeous smile will have made up for any dip in the weather and I hope everything was just as they would have dreamed of on their special day.

  1. Hi Amanda, I can't thank you enough for helping me to realise my love for all of these flowers.
I do believe we had THE most beautifully decorated wedding ever and certainly the best I have ever seen. There was nothing I would have changed and everything looked even better than expected.
You have been so helpful from the planning, budgeting and ongoing contact and allowed me to worry about everything else knowing the floral arragements were under control.

A huge thank you to you and your team who have been great since the first meeting at the Ramada wedding fayre.

    Thank you!

xx Ian and Natalie Webb xx

  3. Hi Amanda
Thank you so much for the flower arrangements for Natalie and Ian's Wedding.
When the bouguets arrived on the morning they took our breath away! Then on arriving at The Hop Farm we were once again overwhelmed by how beautiful it looked. It may have been raining outside but the sun was shining inside for us-it looked stunning!
Thank you again for being part of making the perfect day!

  4. Dear Natalie, Ian, Penny and Rob,

Thanks so much for your lovely comments. I am so pleased that you liked all the flowers, and thrilled that we have managed to find a new love of flowers. They really did suit you and your sunny personality and I'm so pleased they worked for you all.

You were all a great pleasure to work with throughout the consultation period and we always looked forward to seeing your beaming smile Natalie. We're just so pleased your day went so well.

Thanks to Rob for his comments too....they mean even mroe coming from a "bloke who wouldn't normally notice", and that's coming from a woman who alway does! Made us chuckle!

Thanks again for taking the time to comment, and I hope to see you again at some point.

    Love
    Amanda
