Charlotte and Steve's wedding at The Secret Garden, Mersham Le Hatch

Charlotte was one of our customers back in the days of the shop and was determined that she would have her wedding flowers from us.  She therefore planned her flowers before much of the rest of the wedding, and has had them planned for quite some time.  She wanted soft, romantic slightly vintage flowers reminiscent of an English Country Garden which is perfect at The Secret Garden with its beautifully tended walled garden, and lovely relaxed intimate Coach House.   As Charlotte was wearing a soft Grecian dress with long train from high up the back, and her beautiful blond hair left largely loose and curly, we wanted to keep the flowers quite relaxed. Whilst Charlotte doesn't see it, she is so beautiful, and will have look liked a model on her wedding day.  She chose such a perfect dress, and her lovely hairdresser Nina had finished her hair perfectly by the time we delivered the bouquets. Can't wait to see some photos.

For Charlotte's bouquet, we designed a textured, relatively small hand-tied bouquet to work with Charlotte's petite frame.  We used the unmistakable Carousel Illusion roses, La Belle roses, peonies, lily of the valley, bouvardia, green eryngium, chincherinchee, lisianthus and a few sprigs of eucalyptus parvifolia.  The stems were simply tied in ivory organza and finished with a lovely "to have and to hold" bow at the top.  All very beautiful and very highly perfumed.  We wired lisianthus heads and buds along with pink astrantia for Charlotte's hair.

For Charlotte and Steve's little girl Isla, we designed the cutest little posy of bouvardia, lily of the valley and chincherinchee along with eucalyptus parvifolia and wrapped it to match Charlotte's bouquet.  For their son, Finlay, we provided a chincherinchee and eucalyptus buttonhole, being a mini version of the rest of the groom's party.

For Steve, we used provided a soft and natural triple chincherinchee buttonhole with eucalyptus parvifolia, and provided double versions of the buttonholes for the groom's party.  Corsages were freesias and chincherinchee.

For the celebrant table on the veranda at The Secret Garden, we used two cream wire vintage looking hurricane lanterns surrounded by a soft mix of flowers in pale pinks, creams and greens.

For the Top Table, we made an extra special surround for the hurricane lamps using all the flowers used elsewhere including all the roses, peonies, astrantia, freesia, chincherinchee, lisianthus, bouvardia and green eryngium.

For the other tables, we varied the colours and did some green and cream, some pale pink and green and some ivory and pale pink.  All lovely and soft and romantic.

Finally, Charlotte and Steve had chosen three red velvet cakes from The Hummingbird Bakery for their wedding cakes....how completely yummy!  We dressed one with a topper to match the flowers and just simply added a sprig of lily of the valley to the other cake boards.

It was such a lovely day, and such a wonderful venue for a wedding that we didn't want to leave.....we might have been a bit noticeable tucked away in our uniforms at the back, but it would have been worth it I'm sure.  Hope you like the flowers as much as we loved preparing them.
