Tina and Steve's wedding at Hempstead House Hotel

We've been looking forward to Tina and Steve's wedding for quite some time now. As Tina and her Mum Debbie are in the wedding business (http://www.ambiencevenuestyling.com/), and have a strong attention to detail, we were really focussed on getting everything right. Tina's bridesmaids were wearing Victorian Lilac dresses and Tina and Steve wanted a purple theme across their day. When first talking about their flowers, we introduced the idea of lime green alongside the purple as we feel that the lime green brings out the best in colours and creates a fabulous contrast. Tina and Steve agreed and hence the lime and purple theme was born!

For Tina's bouquet, we wanted a striking and contemporary look and decided upon the beautiful Picasso Calla Lily alongside Guelder rose and a variety of folded and looped leaves and grasses. For that final touch of subtle glamour, we added a single ostrich feather. Tina was looking really beautiful when we delivered the bouquet but the tears that the bouquet produced required a touch up of her make-up! We don't mean to make people cry...honestly....and I am pleased to say that they were happy tears!

The bridesmaids seemed equally pleased with their bouquets and the flower girls really didn't want to put theirs back in the box! I did say that the magic we'd added to the wands wouldn't last all day if they were used too much before the ceremony, so let's hope there was plenty of magic left for the rest of the day.

For the tables, we used Tina's vases and fairy lights, and layered purple and lime raffia through the vases before adding top level arrangements of alliums, shamrocks, deep purple lisianthus, guelder rose and and various foliages. As the arrangements were so tall, we provided lime green cubes for the celebrant table, which would be moved to frame Steve and Tina on the top table.

Whilst the tables weren't completely finished by the time we had to leave to head off to another wedding, we think they looked beautiful and the venue staff were ensuring that everything was going to be perfect.
