Leann and Paul's wedding at Turkey Mill

On Friday, we were delighted to provide the flowers for the lovely Leann and Paul. Leann worked for a corporate client of ours and started planning her wedding a couple of years ago. Paul and Leanne have since added the beautiful Ebony to their family....a favourite Distinctly Floral baby! We were thus really looking forward to their elegant wedding. Leann's colour palette was ivory and chocolate brown, and we decided to keep the flowers largely ivory and green, with hints of chocolate. Roses and calla lilies were the key and Leann wanted to have a fairly contemporary feel to her wedding and yet to keep things soft and romantic.

For Leann's bouquet, we decided to omit any hints of chocolate and keep it all ivory and green. Leann wanted a more contemporary teardrop bouquet that was soft and slightly spriggy, and yet neat and clearly defined. We mixed Vendella roses, calla lilies, and double lisianthus, along with pittosporum and rosemary and once again the bouquet caused Leann's make-up artist to need to touch up her fabulous make-up as a result of her tears!
For Leann's five bridesmaids, we decided upon very simple yet striking hand-tied calla lily bouquets, keeping the Hot Chocolate calla to the centre. The flower girl carried a single ivory calla lily " wand" surrounded by feathers.

Turkey Mill was looking as beautiful and perfect as ever, and despite the weather forecast not being great, it was a real sun trap in the garden and the light in the Orangery was beautiful. We loved the tablecentres, which we think shows Turkey Mill off beautifully. Taller tablecentres work so well, and we loved the fullness of the top arrangements. We also provided a full top table arrangement (using the calla lilies as well as the other flowers) and used it for the celebrant table in the garden before moving it to the top table.

We were all particularly drawn to the very chocolatey and completely stunning cake designed and made by Maria and Catherine at Creative Cakes (http://www.creativeweddingcakes.co.uk)....the/ smell was amazing and we all loitered around the cake table far too long....I think you'll be able to see why.

Overall, we think it was a stunning set-up for a lovely couple and hopefully provided Leann and Paul with everything they had hoped for for their long awaited wedding day.
