Collette and Jason's vintage themed wedding at Little Silver

Prior to talking to Collette about her own wedding, we've chatted wedding plans and ideas with her for her friends Ruth and Emma, who we have worked with for their weddings.  Collette was heavily involved in Ruth's wedding and hence we knew we worked well together.  We were therefore thrilled when she asked us to be involved in her own wedding to Jason.  Collette knew she wanted dusky pinks, apricots through to coral colours along with ivory and wanted the flowers to be soft, English and with a vintage feel.

Collette was always going to be a truly stunning bride, and the dress she chose was gorgeous especially after she altered it to make it more fitted to show off her fab figure.  Can't wait to see some photos as we know she's going to look amazing.  For her bouquet we decided on a very natural, soft and spriggy bouquet that wasn't too large given her petite figure.  We included a variety of roses, astrantia, veronica, trachellium, astilbe, chincherinche and eucalyptus parvifolia.  We wrapped the stems in a crocheted vintage lace doily studded with pearls and crystals with additional trailing buttons added.

For Bethany, Collette and Jason's daughter, we provided a smaller posy to resemble Collette's bouquet but all in ivory, wrapped in ribbon and once again finished with trailing button detail.

For Collette's three bridesmaids (Ruth, Emma and Leanne), we provided a variety of flowers wired to add to their hair.

Jason wore a lovely buttonhole of Savita rose, astilbe, veronica and eucalyptus parvifolia whilst the rest of the boys wore large ivory roses with astilbe and eucalyptus parvifolia.  We provided a smaller buttonhole for the Page Boy, Leo as well as a gift box finished with lace and filled with petals to scatter down the aisle.  Mums had corsages provided to match their outfits with a lapel corsage for Jason's Mum and a wrist corsage for Collette's Mum.

For the wedding reception tables, Collette was keen to see a vintage theme, but with a little bit of a difference.  We decided that instead of using a random selection of vintage vases, birdcages etc on each table, we would theme each table with similar items.  We therefore provided appropriate accessories for each of the following tables....Love Birds, Lashings of Jam, Have Your Cake and Eat It, One Lump or Two, Shall I Pour, Anyone for Coffee and Jugs A Plenty!  Fantastic!

For the top table (the one and only "The Very Best of Vintage") we provided clusters of different items dressed with flowers.  We also added rosebuds and pearls to all the tables to finish them.

We loved working with Collette again, and loved all her finishing touches (tableplan, sweet table, post box etc).  We know they had a fab day and the weather held up despite the threat of rain.  We wish both Collette, Jason and Bethany, and her lovely bridesmaids and family all the very best for the future.  We're just sorry we won't be working with them again for future weddings.
