Claire and Steve's beautiful Boughton Malherbe and Chilston Park Hotel wedding

I can't belive it's taken me so long to blog this gorgeous wedding which will undoubtedly be a featured wedding of the month on the website in due course.  With the grim weather outside, I thought it only fair to everyone to see the fabulous warm sunshine that Claire and Steve experienced on their special day.

As you can see from the photos, Claire is stunning and petite (not that she seems to know it), but the photos tell the truth!  And hence, we needed flowers that worked with her, rather than overpowered her.  Claire and Steve were very clear that they wanted a soft, pretty yet natural and unfussy floral theme in shades of cream, pale peach, blush pink to go with platinum dresses and with a ballet shoe as the inspiration for colour.  Scent was also important and wethus decided upon a mix of roses including David Austin roses, La Belle, Maroussia, Vendella and Savita along with sweet peas, bouvardia, astrantia, eryngium, freesias, trachellium, chincherinchee, eucalyptus, sage and flowering mint.  All fabulous colours to match the scheme and they smelt divine.

Claire chose the most beautiful gown as you can see from the photos and we decided upon a textured hand-tied bouquet with a crochetted lace trim made by her Grandmother and with an heirloom pin to finish.

For the five elder bridesmaids we provided smaller versions of Claire's bouquet and wrapped the stems to the bottom in an open lace ribbon.  Each of the Flower Girls had a smaller posy to match (with handy wrist strap) and also had a lovely natural circlet to wear in their hair.  How cute do they look!

Steve wore a large headed Maroussia rose with soft foliage, and the boys wore La Belle roses.  Grandad had his own eryngium thistle added.  Corsages were also provided to tone with the ladies' outfits.

At Boughton Malherbe church we provided soft trailing pew end arrangements to frame the aisle.

At Chilston Park, Claire and Steve decided upon the pretty Culpeppers restaurant for their reception which was dressed with a mismatched selection of chrome and glass vintage vases and containers filled with hydrangeas, roses, sweet peas, lisianthus, bouvardia, freesias, astrantia, ammi and other lovely seasonal flowers and foliage.  The colours worked perfectly.  We added roses to napkins for the top table too.

The photos provided by Lorna Elizabeth photography are just lovely...if it's possible to have glamorous laid-back shots, I think this is how I'd describe them...just gorgeous.  I'm not going to include all Lorna's or our shots as I want to save some for the featured wedding of the month in the not too distant future but I hope you are inspired by some of these in the meantime.

We loved being part of Claire and Steve's day, loved meeting their family and friends, and know they had a perfect day.  I know Claire's Mum was looking forward to the flowers too as she hadn't had much choice for her wedding day, and hence I hope we made a few dreams come true.
