Starting with Annabelle and Lee's wedding at Turkey Mill, this was a simple and stylish wedding using only Vendella roses to tone in with the warm creamy ivory of Annabelle's spectacular dress.....given the detail on the dress, we kept the flowers really simple. We followed the Vendella rose theme through the bridesmaids' bouquets, buttonholes and for the table centres. The celebrant table in the fabulous new Garden Room at Turkey Mill was dressed with two simple fishbowls, with a hand-tied rose bouquet sitting in each. The main guest tables were then dressed with a linear arrangement of roses in a lily vase....simple, but striking and all tied with offcuts of the bridesmaids' dress fabric courtesy of Bridal Gowns of Jodi (http://www.weddingdressesuk.com/). We think they were really effective and worked so well with the contemporary but unfussy look that Annabelle wanted.
Moving onto Emma and Martin's wedding, we again used peonies and roses with the peonies all being in shades of light to dark pink. The bridal bouquet was a hand-tied bouquet with additional sparkles added and the bridesmaids wore wrist corsages of roses and spray roses. The tables at the Weald of Kent were dressed alternatively with birdcages and low martini glass vases (provided by the venue) filled with arrangements of roses and peonies. And as for the cake....it looked yummy...very pretty cupcakes in a tower, all with flowers piped onto the top, and with a top cutting layer, for which we provided a simple, compact topper of roses and peonies.
Finally onto Emma and John's wedding at Rochester Cathedral and afterwards at The Hengist, we followed a purple and ivory theme and provided elegant and contemporary Picasso calla lilies along with trachellium, eryngium (blue and white) and rolled Black Tie Leaves. Emma carried an overarm bouquet and her Flower Girl, Grace, had a small "wand" to tie in with the flowers, and we attached a calla lily to her alice band. Picasso calla lily buttonholes were provided for all the male guests, with female guests having corsages of white eryngium and chincherinchee. Flowers for the tables in The Hengist were striking, lower height lily vases (given the beam height in The Hengist) filled with purple water and with a striking structural arrangement of lilies, trachellium, eryngium, black tie leaves and grasses.
As ever, all our brides were lovely and there were some beautiful and elaborate hairstyles being arranged when we delivered the flowers.....such an art getting hair to do what the stylists were doing at the weekend...think I'll stick to the day job!
