Natali and Nick's wedding at Turkey Mill
Who said weddings can't be planned from afar....! Natali and Nick moved to Vietnam in the middle of planning their wedding, and you would never have guessed, it was all planned so perfectly. Having chosen the fabulous Jenny Packham dress (can't wait to see the photos) and taken into account Natali's meditteranean family background, the choice of flowers and the style used easily fell into place. Natali loves oriental lilies and the bridesmaids' dresses were a pinky / burgundy (not a great description but closer than the colour claret conjures up, so we used a mixture of Merostar and Helvetia lilies as the focal flowers along with large headed, beautifully scented Gletsjer roses. We then added chincherinchee, scabious, gerberas and germinis along with the fabulous bougainvillea and olive foliage to conjure up hot sunny mediterranean shores!
The bouquets were all hand-tied to ensure the dresses weren't overshadowed and we loved the bougainvillea accent in Natali's bouquet. We added a topaz pendant into the bow on the bouquet stems when we got to the hotel...it had been given to her by friends in Vietnam for good luck and looked lovely attached (no photos I'm afraid).
The buttonholes tied into the bridesmaids' gerbera and germini bouquets and the corsages were a mixture of chincherinchee and spray rosess, with one using the purple vanda orchid to tie in with purple accents.
Tablecentres were grouped floral surrounds with hurricane lamps at the centre and the colours really worked well in Turkey Mill. We used two of the hurricane lamp arrangements on the celebrant table in the Garden Room, which were subsequently moved to the present table after the ceremony.
We also provided a small topper for the cutting cake tier (with tiers of cupcakes underneath), but as the cake hadn't arrived when we left, we can only show you the topper, not the yummy bits underneath. We also provided flowers for thank-yous which we left in aqua packs for freshness.
It all goes to show that weddings can be organised from afar. Natali and Nick evidently had a lovely day and whilst they only get 4 days honeymoon on the way back to Vietnam, we hope they take fabulous memories of their special day with them.
