The Wedding Experience at the Kent County Showground, Detling

Well what a day it was yesterday.....I think they're still counting to work out how many thousands of people came to the Wedding Fair yesterday!  And how brave of people to queue in the rain under (or even without) umbrellas to come in.  It was a day and a half and we lost track of time for most of the day.  However, it was lovely to meet everyone and hear their exciting plans, from feathers to multi-coloured English summer garden themes, via pretty much every colour and theme you can think of.

To stimulate some interest and hopefully inspire some people, we decided to make it a "game of two halves" on our stand yesterday, with one side being monochrome and the other being vibrant, multi-coloured and a little bit fruity.  We even managed to squeeze in a softer, more vintage style bouquet (and matching wand) in no-mans land in the middle.

Thanks to everyone for their fantastic comments, and thanks to the amazing girls (Sharan and Harj) at http://www.pinkkajol.com/ for the beautiful flowers that have been henna'ed on my hand....so pretty, so detailed and so quick.  Their work is extraordinary and they'd be great for a hen party (or if you're not getting married, why not plan a girlie night / day as we are and invite them along)

We've included photos of all the individual arrangements / bouquets as promised, and will split them between the monochrome set and the coloured set.  Apologies for the candelabra on the multi-coloured section looking a little odd....forgot to add the tall middle candle until the last minute!

The black and white collection first....

And moving onto the colours....

Hope some of them inspire you!

  2. Hi Ria,

So glad you like the bouquet....the Carousel Illusion roses are really gorgeous and the textures work so well together. And all without a peony in sight!
