Yet another lovely day for another very pretty wedding which really suited Kailey and Roberts' style and personality. Their bridesmaids were great too and really worked as a bridal party. Kailey and Robert wanted a very pale pink and ivory floral theme to complement the Celadon green dresses the bridesmaids were wearing. They wanted to get married outside in the garden and wanted their flowers to be soft, pretty and romantic. We choose a mixture of large headed Sweet Avalanche roses along with seasonal bi-coloured ranunculus, freesias and sweet smelling stephanotis. To work with this shade of dress, we choose eucalyptus and used both large and small leafed varieties to give additional texture.
Kailey decided in advance that her hand-tied bouquet would be too nice to throw and hence we created a small and simple throw bouquet to allow her to complete the ritual of throwing the bouquet, whilst preserving her bouquet. The scent from Kailey's bouquet was gorgeous with the freesia, stephanotis and eucalyptus working really well together. We had to keep burying our noses in the stephanotis for a "quick fix" from time to time.
For the older bridesmaids, we provided smaller versions of Kailey's bouquet and kept them soft and pretty. The stephanotis was left out of their bouquets but the scent was still lovely with the freesia and eucalyptus. We decided it would be nice for Kailey and Robert to have a special flower between them, and as it was Kailey's Mums' favourite flower, the stephanotis was just used for these three .
For the flower girl, a small pomander was provided using spray roses and with a few silver pins added for a touch of colour, and to tie in with the dressing of the bouquet stems.
Finally, the bridal party all had Sweet Avalanche rose buttonholes with eucalyptus, although we added the all important stephanotis to Robert's buttonhole and to Mum's corsage.
We think the colours looked lovely together and are great with the green dresses. Green is becoming a very popular colour for weddings, and I think the pale pink looks lovely against it. See what you think.
