Becky and James' wedding at Oakwood House

Becky and James married recently at Oakwood House and we were really looking forward to working on their flowers.  Becky and James wanted their flowers to be mainly ivory and green with touches of claret to match their accent colour.  We decided to use roses, calla lilies, gerberas / germinis along with hypericum berries and foliage for the main flowers and added other seasonal ivory flowers into the table centres.

For Becky's bouquet, we decided upon a slimline shower bouquet using Vendella roses, Black Baccara roses, ivory calla lilies and germinis along with ivory hypericum berries and soft foliage.

For the bridesmaids, we decided upon neat hand-tied bouquets of Vendella roses to contrast against their dresses.  Each was finished with a foliage collar and little sparkles in the centre of each rose.

The bridal party wore toning buttonholes and corsages with James wearing a Black Baccara rose along with ivory hypericum berries and foliage, and the rest of the groomsmen wearing Vendella rose buttonholes.  Ladies all had corsages of chincherinchee, freesias and spray roses along with foliage and ribbon loops to match individual outfits.

For the celebrant table, we used all the flowers used in the bouquets and designed a low trailing arrangement.

For the main reception room, we provided tall lily vases with coloured water and a rose floating for interest and then on the top of each vase we provided a large floral ball in ivories and greens.  At Oakwood House, the ceilings are pretty high, so having the height in the tablecentres worked really well and yet the vases are slim enough to ensure guests can talk easily across the tables.  To bring in the colour, we sprinkled Black Baccara rose petals on the tables around the vases.  And for the top table, we provided a long and low arrangement to sit in front of Becky and James.

To bring in the colour, we sprinkled Black Baccara rose petals on the tables.  Unfortunately we were a little early for the team at Oakwood House, so the tables weren't dressed for the wedding and the tablecentres do look a little lonely.  However, the lovely Graham Scott (http://www.grahamscottstudio.co.uk/) was once again the photographer for the day, so we look forward to some fab photos of the full tables in the not too distant future.  In the meantime, we thought we would include some of our photos.

Becky and James wanted elegance and sophistication, but with a clear contemporary feel, which matches their clear personal style.  The colours also worked so well with Oakwood House's colour scheme and brought a hint of autumn to the wedding.  We loved being able to provide Becky and James' flowers for their special day.  Hope you like them too.
