Melanie and Mark's blessing in their orchard in Appledore

Melanie and Mark married in Rye last week and had a small and personal reception at Richard Phillips at Chapeldown.  To celebrate with a wider group of friends and family, they planned the most wonderful blessing in their orchard in Appledore followed by a marquee reception.  We were thrilled to be involved in such a beautiful day, especially as Angel (Melanie's gorgeous dog) was to have her collar completely dressed with roses.

White roses, peonies, chincherinchee, lisianthus, eucalyptus and rosemary provided the most stunning scent in the marquee.  Large silver candelabra, fluted votives, napkin dressing and chair backs transformed what was already a lovely marquee in the most stunning setting (you couldn't paint a more beautiful backdrop).  We also dressed all the trees in the orchard with hanging glass baubles of different shapes and sizes, all containing fresh flowers, and added balls of flowers around the house on existing hooks (interesting to transport for anyone thinking of asking for them!)

A warm welcome on a scorching day in a stunning setting, whilst being able to throw balls for the lovely Angel....it's a tough job.....by the way, Angel is the only dog we've met that can carry two balls or Kongs in her mouth at the same time, whilst chasing another ball....and that's from a team that have a shop hound with a flip top head!
