Jane and Tom's wedding at High Rocks, Tunbridge Wells

Although Jane and Tom chose purple for their bridesmaids' dresses, they really wanted a crisp and quite contemporary all ivory theme for their wedding flowers with hints of green, especially the silvery green of the eucalyptus.  Calla lilies were the main focal flower for the bridal party, but we wanted to incorporate gerberas and germinis as well.

For Jane's bouquet, we toyed with the idea of an overarm bouquet of calla lilies, but ended up designing a smallish, but contemporary shower bouquet using calla lilies, germinis, china grass and small folded aspidistra leaves.  Whilst we only saw the bouquet against Jane's lovely dressing gown!, it was definitely the right choice and size for her and was surprisingly light to carry.  The photos in the box don't really do it justice, but against Jane's dress, it will have worked perfectly.

For her bridesmaids, we designed simple yet striking ivory gerbera bouquets with loops and sprigs of variegated china grass.

And for the boys, we provided a lovely calla lily buttonhole for Tom, and germini buttonholes for the rest of the groom's party.

For Mums, we decided on a softer look using freesias, chincherinchee and grasses and tied them in with their outfits using ribbon loops.

For the ceremony at High Rocks, we provided two contemporary styled pedestal arrangements and an arrangement for the celebrant table, all using calla lilies, gerberas and germinis along with additional white and ivory flowers such as chincherinchee and freesias along with glossy aspidistra leaves and mixed grasses.  Very striking and elegant.

As the room that Jane and Tom were being married in in High Rocks has a relatively low ceiling with beams, we decided to keep the lily vases slightly lower than normal and add simple, not too large tied gerbera arrangements in a tower style.  This is where we added the only touch of colour as we tied the arrangements in purple ribbon...a lovely finishing touch.  Jane and Tom preferred the structural feel of this type of arrangement and liked the simplicity of the vases.  Whilst we can't show all the tables set-up as the room was ready for the ceremony, not the reception, you can see that this style of arrangement can work in a lower ceilinged room as long as the proportions are right.

Whilst we can't claim any glory at all for the fabulous cake (we only added a single gerbera to it), we felt it looked so good it needed a photo.  We're not sure who provided it for Jane and Tom (will try to find out), but it looked and evidently smelt fantastic!

I think that the flowers Jane and Tom chose were perfect for them....they matched their style and their overall hopes for their wedding.  They also show that you don't need to match the colour chosen for the bridesmaids' dresses and that white and green can have quite an impact as a colour scheme.  Having met Jane's Mum, Dad and bridesmaids (all extremely calm and organised on the wedding morning), it was definitely set to be a glamorous and stylish wedding and we look forward to seeing the photos soon.
