Wedding Experience at Kent County Showground, Detling - 070210

Yesterday saw another wedding fair up at the Kent Showground.  This time it was a smaller wedding fair ahead of the main Wedding Experience at the site on 25th April 2010.  We thought it may be a lot quieter than normal, but how wrong we were!  On such a dreary day, we met literally hundreds of wedding couples from the moment the doors were opened and will be seeing some of you again soon.

We decided to work with purple, lilac and ivory as our colour scheme, following the current trend for "Cadbury's purple" bridesmaids' dresses.  From aubergine tones through to strong purple, we designed a range of bouquets, from the softer more natural spring mixes of hyacinths, anenomes, eryngiums and chincherinchee to the striking Picasso calla lilies and Previa anthuriums.  We also showed table centres that would compliment the bouquets and bring them all together.  The colour scheme certainly seemed popular and we thank everyone for their lovely comments.

The stand would not be complete without the flower girl "wands" which were as popular as ever, as well as our trademark "handbag".
We also added some more faded, vintage colours for contrast and used Amnesia rose to bring the softer mink colours into the ivory palette.

If there are any other colour schemes anyone would like us to consider for the end of April, let us know as we haven't planned that in detail as yet.  In the meantime, we hope you like the flowers we prepared for yesterday and hope it provides a reminder for those people we met at Detling.
