Cherryl and Michiel's wedding at Sutton Valence church and Weald of Kent

On a crisp and chilly day at the weekend, the colour combination of blues and ivories worked really well.  Cherryl and Michiel had chosen strong blue dresses for the bridesmaids and whilst the flowers chosen were largely ivory as a contrast, we used eryngium to add a more unusual splash of blue.

For the church, we provided two pedestal arrangements using lilies, gerberas, roses and eryngium along with mixed foliage to include ivy at Cherryl's request.  We also added double bows to the pews with ivory roses and eryngiums added to the middle, which whilst simple really dressed the church up for the wedding and we think looked really effective.

Cherryl wanted her bouquet to be relatively slimline and quite narrow at the top, rather than a more traditional teardrop, and against her dress this will have looked beautiful.  The bridesmaids had hand-tied bouquets of Avalanche roses and eryngium with the edges softened with strands of ivy, and the flower girls had "wands" of Avalanche roses and eryngium, which we loved as an alternative to the feathers usually chosen for wands.

For the buttonholes and corsages, we carried on the theme of calla lilies, roses and eryngium even through to Mum's corsages, which looked really elegant.

At Weald of Kent, tablecentres were kept to floating candles in low martini glasses and we just added a top table arrangement to the long top table, and a fishbowl to the cake table holding eryngium heads and grasses into which balloon weight were to be added.

Despite being such a chilly day, we're sure that the colour scheme will have added a flash of sunshine to the day, and that the photos of the wedding party will look fantastic.
