Tessa and Mark's long awaited Cooling Castle Barn wedding

I've just checked the date I last wrote a blog...oops!  Sorry for those of you that do follow the blogs as it's all got a little manic recently...so many weddings and so little time!  But I have been drawn back to the blog by the lovely Tessa and Mark's wedding at Cooling.  We met Tessa last year and have been in constant touch since as she's a loyal Facebook follower as well as a lovely person to keep in touch with.  I have to say that it really and truly has been such a pleasure working with her on her wedding.  Mark has been away on a Tour of Duty for many many months and Tessa has been organising her wedding on her own with the help of Skype and her fabulous family along with looking after her adorable son, Harry.  (Those of you who know me will know that I am a more dog than child focussed person, but I'd be happy to have Harry around any day....gorgeous!)

So, Tessa chose an exquisite ruched ivory gown with a sweetheart neckline and with a black waistband with gorgeous diamond shaped diamante detailing on the front...beautiful!.  Her hair was all put up and worn with a tiara to match the dress detailing and a long veil.  Her smile was the best though...such a lovely bride.  Tessa's bouquet was a teardrop bouquet of ivory and fuschia pink using roses, germinis, lisianthus and with small rolls of black tie and with sprigs of black bear grass.  We added crystals throughout to tie in with the dress detailing.

The bridesmaids wore fuschia pink strapless dresses and all carried hand-tied bouquets of varying sizes using roses and germinis with sprigs and loops of black bear grass.  Such a fresh and vibrant look.

The groomsmen wore charcoal tails and fuschia pink cravates with Mark having a different waistcoat.  And then the gorgeous little Harry was ring bearer and preceded everyone down the aisle wearing an identical outfit to Dad...just too cute.  Mark and Harry wore Dolce Vita buttonholes, whilst the rest of the grooms party wore fuschia pink germinis.  We also provided corsages for the Mums and thank-you bouquets for them and Nan.

For the ceremony, we added trailing bows to the dais with roses and germinis through the centre, then added a long and low trailing arrangement of roses, germinis, lilies, black tie leaves and grasses to the celebrant table.

For the wedding breakfast, Tessa had seen some martini vases arrangements we had done a while before, and wanted something similar for her wedding day.  We thus used the tall martini vases filled with fuschia pink sisal and with a full arrangement of lilies, roses, germinis, lisianthus, leaves, palms and grasses to the top.

For the top table, we added a long central trailing arrangement to match all other arrangements, and added empty vases at either end of the tables for the bridesmaids to keep their bouquets fresh whilst adding further colour during the wedding breakfast.  We also added flowers to each of the napkin ties to finish the look.

We had looked forward to working with Tessa for so long, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of preparing and delivering the flowers for her special day.  I couldn't wish to meet a nicer family and was thrilled to hear that they all had a wonderful day.  They arrived in a horse drawn carriage and it truly was a fairy tale day.

Hope you like it as much as we did.
