Helen and Luke's wedding at Leybourne Church and afterwards at The Tudor Park

We first met Helen and Luke after they attended a wedding where we had provided the flowers.  It's always nice to meet couples who have seen our flowers "in real life" rather than at a wedding fair and it was lovely to meet and talk to Helen and Luke.  They were planning a contemporary fuschia pink and white wedding with additional sparkle and wanted flowers to match.  They are a particularly handsome and glamorous couple and we knew the flowers had to follow suit and spent time ensuring that the colours of the flowers closely matched the overall theme.

We chose roses including Dolce Vita, anthuriums, Oriental lilies, germinis, grevillia and light foliage all which worked well with the colours and theme.

For Helen's bouquet, we decided on a teardrop shaped shower bouquet using all the flowers and with additional sparkles added throughout.  Helen's dress was a white, full princess style dress with plenty of sparkle and the bouquet gave additional focus to the front of the dress.

For the bridesmaids, we wanted to provide hand-tied bouquets that complemented Helen's and so chose white roses, fuschia pink germinis, grevillia and foliage.  For the Flower Girls, including Helen and Luke's gorgeous baby girl Cara, we chose rose pomanders with loops of ribbon in between, all in silk to allow them to be lightweight and to act as keepsakes.

For the boys, we decided upon a double buttonholes for Luke with a sparkle in the centre of the rose, and then chose slightly simpler germini buttonholes for the rest of the boys.  The stylish Mums had dendrobrium orchid corsages with  added detail to match outfits and Grandma also had a slightly smaller orchid corsage.  For the rest of the congregation, white carnation buttonholes were provided with sprigs of eucalyptus.  Thank you bouquets were also provided for the Mums and Grandma.

At the Tudor Park, we provided a full, long top table arrangement and qdded Dolce Vita roses to the place settings.  We then added tall martini vase arrangements to each of the guest tables including fuschia pink sisal in the base.  Very striking.

Finally, we have to mention the cake, made by Lynn Oakley (07720 127645).  As ever, the attention to detail for the cake was amazing!  Helen and Luke had surprised all of their family and guests by arranging a Christening for their baby Cara at the same time as their wedding, and hence the cake acted as both wedding and Christening cake...complete with Minnie, Mickey and baby mouse made by Lynn.  How cute is that!

We hope Helen and Luke had a lovely day as we know the hard work that went into the planning for their big day.  They are a fabulous couple and we wish them all the very very best in the future.
