For the main table which was set for dinner, we used a large candelabra draped in lace and crystals with a full and pretty floral display in the arms, and finished it with vases of flowers around the base for additional interest. We used battery operated candles to ensure that they lasted for the show. The table looks lovely in front of the castle...a beautiful summer's day (rather than a freezing cold February one).
For the two small side tables, we decided to use tea party accessories for one (milk jugs, teacups, coffee pots, vintage marmalade jars etc) and added a few draped pearls etc.
For the second table, with limited space we decided on a small birdcage, a couple of vintage glass carafes and rose bowls and our signature handbag with vintage brooch as an additional eye-catching display.
Everyone thought the stand looked lovely and I know that they were busy with lots of enquiries and bookings...let's hope more people have realised what a hidden beauty Chiddingstone Castle is.
