Caroline and Tom's Chilston Park wedding

We couldn't wait to show you the lovely recent wedding of Caroline and Tom as it really was a joy to behold and a joy to be involved with.  Caroline and Tom have exquisite taste and had very clear ideas about how they wanted their wedding to look but still wanted to use our expertise to bring it to life.  The colour palette was blush pink, champagne, peach and ivory with very silvery toned foliage.  All so elegant.

Caroline's gown was a dreamy strapless creation with a very soft yet full skirt and a rose corsage on the belt.  Teamed with the lace edged veil and the fabulous up do that the hairdresser was cleverly creating when we delivered the flowers, Caroline was going to look like amazing...her wedding style was described by a couple of people as European Royal Wedding style!  Her bouquet was a very soft and textured hand-tied bouquet using the fabulous O'Hara rose along with David Austen Patience along with bouvardia, freesias, senecio and eucalyptus.  It smelt absolutely amazing and when finised with the guipre lace wrap, was extremely elegant.  We also added a gorgeous swan brooch on the day provided by Caroline.

Caroline's attendants wore knee length purple dresses in a soft fabric with matching shoes and looked lovely.  Their bouquets were smaller versions of the bridal bouquet, but with less roses.  We finished them with lace ribbon and pearls.  Caroline's lovely girls Grace and Gabriella looked so lovely in their ivory gowns with fluffy wraps...we provided them with small posies using a single David Austen rose at the centre surrounded by other flowers.  We wrapped the stems in lace and added gorgeous dove brooches that Caroline had sourced for them

To get an idea of how lovely the ladies looked, Caroline had a very beautiful and unique thank-you gift made for her bridesmaids as she commissioned a portrait of them altogether.  The attention to detail was amazing as she had them standing under the oak tree dressed with hanging baubles which we actually did outside the Orangery at Chilston Park...fabulous eh!

The boys wore ivory rose buttonholes with freesias and foliage with Tom's being a gorgeous David Austen Patience rose in a silver plated boutonniere that we sourced.  Such an elegant finish and nice to have a lasting memory of the day for the groom.  Tom and Caroline's son George looked so dapper in his suit and we decided to create a "mini-me" buttonhole for him to resemble Tom's but used a Majolika spray rose to scale the size appropriately.  Mums and Gran had corsages designed to match their chosen outfits and we also provided thank-you bouquets for them in gift bags.

For the ceremony in the Orangery, Caroline and Tom had provided a book wth pages folded to form a heart, which was placed on one side of the table.  We then placed a medium height silver goblet vase filled with dendrobrium and phalaenopsis orchids...a true expression of glamour and one that the registrars kindly said they'd never seen such a fabulous orchid display in all their years in the business!  As said before, we dressed the oak tree outside the Orangery with hanging lanterns and baubles with tealights to add a certain something to outside photographs which could also be seen during the ceremony.

For the reception, the top table was dressed along its length with silver and glass vases and with a silver goblet overflowing with orchids placed one at either end.  We added gorgeous David Austen roses to the napkins to finish the look and we also added empty vases for the bridal and bridesmaids' bouquets to give additional flower and ensure the bouquets remained fresh.  Some of the vases were placed on old books and apples were added randomly.

This theme was continued for half of the guest tables where we added random vases stuffed with flowers and with books and apples added.  For the remaining tables, we designed silver rosebowls filled with flowers and apples.  It all looked so elegant and pretty.

Finishing touches were everything and we added flowers to the card case and to the innovative crate of apples table plan that Caroline and Tom had provided.  Finally, we have to mention the exquisite cake made by Creative Cakes....a true work of art that complimented all the flowers and venue dressing so well.  We know that it was a wonderful day for Caroline and Tom and their family and we wish them all the very very best for the future.  Watch this space though as you may see them appear again as their photographer was the lovely and talented Lorna Elizabeth and we usually get a chance to share her photos when they are ready.
