Siobhan and Shane's striking Bradboune House Wedding

Siobhan and Shane married in Addington Church last month and followed with their reception at Baradbourne House afterwards.  Siobhan knew how she wanted her day to look from the beginning and wanted a striking more contemporary feel matching a Cadbury's purple colour scheme.  Whilst we changed a few tiny detailed along the way, everything on the day was pretty much as Siobhan had envisaged from the start.

Siobhan had chosen a beautiful slimline gown with a long train and a fabulous lace overlay giving a bardot style neckine.  With her hair swept up, Siobhan looked amazing alongside the handsome Shane.  To show off Siobhan's dress and figure, we designed a slimline shower bouquet of calla lilies and orchids along with silver grass, a few leaves and some spriggy crystals, with the handle finished in lace.  For Siobhan's bridesmaids we provided white hydrangea bouquets interspersed with crystals and finished the stems in lace.

For the Groom's party, we provided a vanda orchid and calla lily buttonhole for Shane and calla lily buttonholes for the rest of the boys.  We designed corsages for ladies, with Roberta (Siobhan's Mum) having a smaller handbag corsage to complement her lapel corsage.  We also provided striking thank-you bouquets to surprise selected ladies on the day.

At Bradbourne House, the weather wasn't conducive to spending much time out of doors unfortunately, but Siobhan and Shane wanted to welcome their guests to the reception in style, so we dressed the front portico pillars with a mixed garland interespersed with hydrangeas, orchids and calla lilies.  We also dressed the mantelpiece in the entrance hall with vases filled with hydrangeas and two mini crystal globe candleholders to match the tablecentres.  We added a spray of matching flowers to the card box as well, and provided some vanda orchids for the tiered cheeses cake (which we couldn't photograph as it needed to be brought out much later in the day and orchids don't like fridges!).

For the wedding breakfast, each of the guest tables was dressed with a tall crystal globe candleholder on a circular mirror on the gorgeous new damask tablecloths.  Each of the candleholders was then surrounded by pumpkin vases full of striking purple hydrangeas....simple, yet so effective.  We then added smaller pumpkin vases filled with purple hydrangeas along the front of the top table along with empty vases for the bridesmaids' bouquets.  In between, we added colour to the cloth with orchids and hydrangea florets.

We hope that Siobhan, Shane and all family and friends had a fabulous day and we hope you enjoy our photos.

Lauren and Darryl's relaxed and natural Cooling Castle Barn wedding

Today we feature a fresh and pretty wedding from Cooling Castle Barn using peppermint and ivory coloiurs with just a hint of pale pink.  It was pretty, natural and soft and we used roses, ranunculus, freesias, waxflower, paperwhites, hydrangeas, bouvardia, tulips, veronica and soft peppermint greens like eucalyptus, succulents etc.

Lauren and Darryl personalised their own fruit crates for the tables and also made lots of lovely bunting for us to hang.  We used a range of bottles, jars and pots for the flowers and added vintage books and other bits and bobs to finish the look.

We loved the lights strung between the beams (thanks to Your Beautiful Day) as it brings the very high ceiling lower to work with lower tablecentres.  We hope you like it all.  It makes me smile and works perfectly with the lovely Spring weather today.
